>REEE DON'T CALL THE DARK WORLD THE PAST
What did Nintendo mean by this ?

the whole point, dumbass, was that the entire game takes place in the past. It was marketed as Link's first adventure not unlike Skyward Sword would be marketed years later, but that's it. It's not that important a deal to be part of the title, which is why the real title was actually simply The Triforce of the Gods. NoA just went too hard on the "first adventure" marketing to the point of changing the title to reflect that, but there is no time travel.

50% of the Zelda series are prequels to prequels

OP is clearly a third worlder of some sort, not American. Also caring about Zelda timelines is one of the most cringe possible hobbies to have.

I could see that misconception, but it's supposed to refer to the game being a prequel to the original LOZ.

Every cunt tree outside of America is third world. If I can't get bbq, cheese steaks, and tacos on the same road in any common suburb it's dystopia
>>
Isn't the title "A Link To The Past" purely a localized Western invention? Why did they call it that?
>>
>>12771863
It's not cringe, but it's for kids living in 1999.

Happens every time

It's not a particularly deep meaning.
The literal link is just that people involved in events in the present are linked to a key event in the past, the seven maidens are descendants of the seven sages, and Link and his Uncle iirc are descended from the knights involved in that war.

Turns out Link to the Past had the Imprisoning War first, Tears of the Kingdom was referencing that to an extent.

It's always been cringe and always will be cringe. There is no Zelda timeline. Nintendo starts with a game idea then asspulls some lore and story for the game to give it atmosphere and coherency. Autists invent connections between games and wesve elaborate lore while cynics humor them and milk their idiocy for extra profit. It's all cringe.

It should have been called Triforce of the Gods. But they couldn't use the word God because Wisdom Tree had the copyright.

Not beating the allegations with a post like that.
>>

They were too pussy to call it "Triforce of the Gods" in the west.
