This is how you know emulation and retro gaming are dead. When playing the game itself is no longer good enough. The idea that experience of the work alone needs some sort of “enhancement” in order to enjoy it. “Well no one is forcing you!” or “Well it’s just a fun alternative!” you might say, but you would be wrong. You would be stupid and wrong, and you should die.

Um, it's not 240fps, so it obviously is 0/10 and everything you say is wrong Please Like & Subscribe
>It's another "I refuse to discuss video games (because I don't play them) but I WILL argue about people who play video games" threadZoomers were a mistake.
I dont care
>>12771875Imagine getting mad over widescreen and resolution lmao
>>12771875>“enhancement”
>>12771875So going from 1080p to 4K (IPS, SDR) isn't the way to go? The former can't pull off the CRT look.
Retro gaming is alive, it's taking food out of the mouths of AAA game makers right now. And you missed out, OP, you'll NEVER be able to afford any retro gaming stuff NOW. It's too late. You can seethe all day and try to make it unfashionable but that won't work here, /vr/ has no reach. You need an Insta to try to change the trend and make prices drop. Can you do it?
Mega Man X looks not great on the default settings IMO, just overly detailed "enhanced" textures and the high res filter adds visual glitches. Hearing it with high quality audio is kind of interesting though I guess. Also default settings have an issue where you can't really see the platforms on the dark part of Spark Mandrill's stage.I guess there's a demand for this because I know a lot of people ask for what mods to use for their first time but I never really liked doing that.
>>12771875Another gay ass thread by this fucking faggot. There is ZERO discussion just the same formula of "I'm right, you're wrong, fight me" and then pretending to not understand when you get BTFO ober and over again. It's pathetic really.
>>12772128the internet only worked when you had to sit at a computer to be on it.
>>12771875I'm past the point of caring how I play retro vidya as long as I get to play it. If I can play on a CRT then cool, but if not I can just use a filter and it's fine. The game will be just as good or bad either way.My biggest issue with enhancements is that I don't trust random autists to understand the original intention of the artists/designers, and sometimes the enhancements will simply be wrong. Plus it's still way more about the quality of gameplay than anything else to me.
ok boomer ;)
>>12771875This is how you know emulation and retro gaming are alive and well. When people are playing so much that there's a huge community devoting their free time to build tools that make their next playthrough slightly different. We're never have been more back.
