Honestly? This mogs Silent Hill and most adventure games from the 90s.
>>
>>12772452
it doesnt really have anything in common with silent hill beside psychological themes ?
>>
>>12772475
it psychologically and thematically mogs it
>>
>>12772489
gets mogged on the gameplay and atmosphere side tho.
but i really dont like comparing apples and oranges.

>it psychologically and thematically mogs it
Ehhh. Not really.
Dropped it when you become a cyclop mutant on an alien planet or whatever.

Silent Hill is not an adventure game. And as good as Sanitarium is, it gets pretty goofy on the last couple of levels.
>>
>>12773026
this, I loved Sanitarium but it's very irregular in quality
>>
>>12773026
Yeah, I loved the first half of the game but the second half is very meh
>>
>>12772489
Not at all, only the first area with the mutant kids even tries to maintain a horror atmosphere, after that it's carnivals and goofy shit
>>
>>12772452
Ahhh yes everybody's favorite game Sanitarium! I have fond memories playing Sanitation with my great great grandfather on my Gameboy. Truly one of the games of all time!

How has being proud of your ignorance worked out for you in life so far?
>>
>>12773168
Pretty good actually. How has your enlightenment worked out for you?
>>
>>12773169
quite alright, it's good for self esteem, if nothing else
>>
>>12773231
if you were enlightened you wouldn't make a catty bait post like op.
>>
>>12773141
Fucking eye still gives me the willies, waddagame
>>
>>12773241
I did not, and I find the comparison to Silent Hill quite retarded.
The only other post I've made is >>12773030 (You)
/vr/ may be a small board but there's more than one other anon.

OP has found a game he can now pretend to be a fan of, to feel less like reddit cattle for liking popular things.
Now he just needs to keep making threads, until he gathers a little club of refined gamers, to jerk each other off and laugh at normies.

I first played this game on an old Windows 98 Acer laptop as a kid.
It was scary as shit but also highly intriguing.

I don't think it "mogs" SH however and they're fairly different games.
