I made a lot of stuff in hypercard as a kid, at school. They were just choose your own adventure style games.

The language arts teacher just banned me because I had like 25 hypercard projects. She said I was always goofing off and reading cliff notes at waldenbooks store. I made a hypercard story where trapped in the dungeon of a sicko that loved the "classics" if you selected the correct author instead of the virtually unknown cliff notes author you would go down the losing path. Really I am sure the reason I was hard banned was the good ending was the sicko flying into a rage and tripping over one of their cats and cracking her skull and all her cats ate her corpse, while the player escaped.

The funny thing was my pre algebra teacher thought it was funny because I made a story about a skitzo mathematician that had to save the world. I literally printed each card, but you were only allowed 5 pages a day and I was throttled to 1 visit a week, and I hand wrote goto page on each one.

basically public school isn't about learning it is about kissing ass and grinding with 0 payout.

Now that I think about it my big time burners were hypercard and shitty self made doom mods. When Minecraft, Roblox and Mario maker came out I just shook my fist at the sky.

Wow awesome graphics, way better than console. Oh, its just clicking pictures.
I think most people were only fooled once with these types of games.
I didn't see the fuss about Final Fantasy 7, its kind of the same with some polygons in front of it, I would have thought the anti 2D crowd would have crucified it. I kind of like fmv games now, I like to look in the backgroundd to see if I can discover how fake the scenery is or if its a real set and how much work went into it.
