>enter gym>watch 30 second loading screen>mash button for a minute >*you have met your daily limit, come back later* (like some shitty mobile game)>leave gym>watch another 30 second loading screen>repeat dozens of times and now your character now looks slightly more buff>GTA SA fanboy retards: OH MY GOD!! KINO!!! BEST GAME EVAR!!!Worst game in the series unironically
>"Error: you cannot do this mission, your breathe underwater stat is too low">"Please go to the nearest body of water and spend the next 15 minutes repeatedly diving and resurfacing and then come back">GTA SA fanboy retards: OH MY GOD!! KINO!!! BEST GAME EVAR!!!GTA SA fanboys are not human
i dont like san andreas anymore
Nigger: The Game
this is one of the best games ever
What's with all the "San Andreas BAD" threads lately? The game would have been an 11/10 if CJ was white.
The control in this game is so much snappier than the later games, that it's not even funny. Yes the draw distance / fade in is pretty close especially for vehicles when you're driving, but it just makes the game even funnier and more amusing. The dynamic background / building drawing is great, you can launch a car way off a spot near the observatory, and end up in downtown lol and see everything the whole way.It has all kinds of autistic bullshit to do if you get bored, even video games to play inside the game. The characters are parodies of famous rappers, it's great.
This game and RDR on PS2 specifically, that's when Rockstar was firing on all cylinders. Peak.
>>12774968The control is snappy in the sense that is janky, your character just goes from standing to full sprint in like one frame, it feels really bad and jerky. The game still runs at 30fps with frequent drops, input lag is still high, pop-in is still atrocious, cars are far easier and more forgiving than GTA3. Gunplay in particular is terrible due to the over-reliance on auto-aim, which completely trivializes the entire game, not one single mission in SA is anywhere near as hard as anything in GTAIII or even VC. GTAIII and VC had much more limited auto-aim which made positioning more important and placed greater emphasis on certain power weapons that you could aim freely, SA does away with that and leads to every combat scenario playing out the same way. >cars popping in 20 feet in front of you while the game chugs at 10fps is good actually because "haha it funni XD"oh nevermind, you're just retarded
>>12774920>your breathe underwater statYou mean, "swimming"? You fucking subhuman retard. I look forward to summer being over soon.
>>12774987The Jaguars are Londons team and London is full of Indians, please understand.
>>12774986>input lag is still high? i dunno, feels snappy to me, could be you're emulating or your display or whatever... the other gripes are valid, but the play is still fun and at least on my machine, smoothOTOH I don't think it's too easy, this is meant to be a popular game for all play styles, there's something for everybody there too, even if you get bored with the normal stuff, it's just a big sandbox to enjoy. I think for a PS2 game, they did an amazing job with that concept.
>>12774918>30 seconds loading screenEntering a building never took longer than like 3 seconds for me.>repeat dozens of timesMaxing out your muscles only takes three visits to the gym and it doesn't really make any big diffeeence anyways besides some random pedestrian comments and a slightly more powerful melee attack. It might be an useless gimmick, but you can simply ignore it so who cares.>>12774920That one does really suck. Having to swim for like 10 minutes to raise that skill might not be such a hazzle, but it's still retarded as fuck. It's basically just devs being all like "Guys! Check this out, we added swimming and diving! So we made sure you actually have to do it!"
>>12775005>zoomerfag playing the modded PC versionkys, you probably don't understand why people hated the RC mission either.
Honestly the other great thing about this game, is that other people can pick up a controller and hit start, and the game will give them control of some random NPC who can then do everything the player can (except participate in the story) so that's a fun way to play the game in a pickup style. Other games lack this, broadly, it's really rare actually. I remember a Genesis game called Operation Earth (IIRC) where the second player could hit start and take control of one of the enemies on screen randomly, and help the first player. You could do this infinitely without taking lives from the first player too.
>>12774987hold breath underwater stat. There, you happy you fucking retard? And no, it's not swimming, your swimming speed is totally unchanged by lung capacity.
>>12774918SA's sequel was so much better and a massive leap forward. It had>better story>better writing>better characters>better controls >better gunplay>better physics >better graphics/animations>much better draw distance/pop-in>better attention to detail>better driving and car handling>better car damage and deformation>much more intuitive driving controls (R2/L2 instead of X and O)>better police/wanted system >better radio>better side activities >much better dating system>better atmosphere>better world design and immersion>can fast travel with taxis instead of having to constantly drive from one end of the map to the other>can instantly restart missions via the phone>interiors can actually be entered in real-time instead of being segmented zones with loading screens>no RPG stat grinding bloat crap
>>12775012>playing the pc version in 2005 means you're a zoomer?
This game fucked the driving camera. I have to constantly use the stick or mouse to shift the camera higher to see in front of the vehicle
>>12774918>he actually enters the gymkek you can get buff before you even unlock the gym dumbass you didn't even beat the game!
>>12774918>actually playing any GTA game for more than an hour as a kid before realizing how dogshit it isyou have shit taste
>>12775031I actually don't see anyone else ever bring this is up and it does bother me too. Weird.>>12775016You're the moron who claimed SA fans aren't human and couldn't even properly form a sentence like a preschool dropout. How does one breathe underwater exactly, faggot?
Game had a lot of superfluous bullshit and kicked off activity bloat and when they nipped it GTA4 (the best game) all the hamster wheel fags cried so much they went and added it all back in with next game. and if the GTA6 leaks aren't sloppa then they've quadrupled down on that shit to the point that I'm nearly certain they're gonna try to turn the game into second life and the goyslaves are going to eat it all up
Real npcs where the gamers playing this turd
>>12774920unironically where I stopped playing the game
Say what you will, this game was a cultural behemoth when it came out. You just had to be there man. Every teenager wanted to be a gangbanger in an endless city with limitless possibilities (for the first time ever) And if you weren't , you were that one ugly nerd who is seething about it to this day. KekSan Andreas made a video game world come to life. people take it for granted now but san Andreas was the first of its kind and the hype hasn't and won't be replicated since >Dude Bigfoot and Jason are in the mountains >Dude leather face attacks you if you go into the woods at night
>>12774918>gotta save madd dogg before he kills himself>earlier in playthrough, used the pedestrian riot cheat and saved>softlocked.webm>game is also 80% finished>have to restart whole entire game if you want to play to the endHow many /vr/ anons also had this happen to them?
>>12774968Im playing 'the definitive version' and it looks great, plays great, and makes up for the fact that I only really played it before on the 360 and it was a port of the mobile GTA SA. this version is basically the ps2 game tweaked and its a great game. it was never my favorite but youre right, it has tons to do and it handles well. out of all the early GTA games this one is more about exploration and having fun than any of the other games. great big map, lots of vehicles, activities and its arcadey without being too loose. I see why lots of people like it
>>12775445>Dude Bigfoot and Jason are in the mountainsMan all those dumb rumors and myths were one of a kind. The internet not yet being filled with a quadrillion video game sites proving them wrong and the fact that like every second guy you knew talked about stuff he found in the game or heard about made it feel so special.I remember spending several days trying to find out what's up with those markings on the map you see at Toreno's ranch and that one restaurant, just to find out that it means absolutely nothing lol.
>>12774920Well growing gills takes a while.
>>12775485360 version was never as good as the PS2 original, 360's a port. The game was made for the PS2.It was never my favorite game either but it was fun for one or more players. My buddies and I used to just roll around and get 5 stars. IIRC you could sometimes hit start on the extra controller with the player surrounded by cops, and one of the cops would be controlled the second player. Even if the side quests and mini games etc. were "boring" after a while they still provided stuff to do. It'd probably take a half decade to fully complete it without a guide. A year WITH a guide! In a deep way it was a Potemkin village, but in another real way it was always teeming with adventure and options and quests which made it feel more alive. And I actually like the close draw distance when you're speeding down the road, the cars pop in so suddenly that you always wreck and that's hilarious. The game's like a psycho BPD girlfriend, it's always trying to get you into trouble. That's endearing.
>>12774986>cars popping in 20 feet in front of you while the game chugs at 10fps is good actually because "haha it funni XD"It's almost a Three Stooges game, it's slapstick and unserious and at high speeds the vehicles all spawn and wreck and do crazy things, it should make you laugh. It's meant to be silly. If you want a racing simulator there were plenty of those. Tactical action game? Same deal. This was something different, like a b-grade slapstick crime action movie you are the boss of.
>>12775005Having maxxed muscles makes almost no difference except if you fail to do it before the gay mafia thing you lose out on some play option. Your melee is barely beefed by it.
>>12775015>Operation EarthTarget Earth. It's a mecha shooter game with ripoffs of nearly every famous mecha of the day.
>>12775005>>12776918I prefer CJ's stance and walk when he's muscled up and not scrawny.
>>12776926Yeah it's like the outfits, it's more or less cosmetic. IIRC though if you got the pimp outfit there was some dynamic that changed, others too. Gang colors too.
>>12775031>>12775184Shit, it’s not just me. Been playing this for the first time since like 2019 and I first played it back in the late 2000s. Never noticed this issue before until recently
>>12774918get a better PC, PS2 load is like 5 seconds
>>12776973It's not that bad, and the PS2 has that old school charm. Playing a modern PC version is soulless.
>>12774964zoomers hate GTA, and there's a big GTA release coming up, so naturally there's going to be a flood of contrarians loudly declaring that they "don't care".
