I like how he still rated 'Challenge' as part as the game's overal rating all the way up to 1998 at least. He wasn't the only one to still do that (Nintendo Power also did it until super late) but by that point most reviewers didn't anymore. It shows he still had that oldschool spirit.

It's easy to mock him on that in hindsight but it's not like he was the only one, even among pros, thinking that. My point is that this guy's entire review of the show is under the angle "this thing is shit", influenced by Retsupurae, rather than trying to have an objective look at the show; which isn't that different from many magazine reviews, off topic rants included.
