>buys the individual games instead of buying this
what if you had a genesis before 1995 and that wasn't available yet?
>>12776885I got my mega drive in 1992 and it included a cartridge with Shinobi - SoR - Golden Axe in it
>>12776885People would just stare at the wall instead
>>12776894That cartridge came out in 1993
>>12776882i never beat streets of rage because the bosses are ridiculously hardthose two female bosses are impossible to hit
>>12776913Maybe I misremembered and I got it later but not much later than that
I'd rather have the individual carts for the label art, boxes and manuals
https://romsfun.com/roms/sega-genesis/6-pak.htmlhere's the rom
>>12776989i guess, if the individual boxes and manuals are worth the premium to you.i bet they look super neat on being unplayed on the shelf.
>>12776917it's a shitty arcade game meant to steal quarters. they made the bosses hard on purpose to force people to insert quartersgolden axe is like that tooi think those beat em up games are overrated
>>12777020git gud
>>12776882>Columns art is from the 8-bit ports>Sonic's is some random promo imageSloppy shop
>>12776989i play games for the gamesi think buying games for the box art and manual makes you a girl
>>12777030>expecting bespoke boxart for a budget title thrown together after the Saturn was already out
>>12777030>Autismo Sneeds
>>12777020Streets of Rage wasn't in arcades. Where were you inserting the quarters, fagboy?>>12777032They fucked up multiple things on the 1993 Triple Score boxart too. Very, very sloppy.
>>12777053dumbass
>>12777056That came out after the Genesis version and is literally just the Genesis ROM running in an arcade cabinet.
>>12777064Mega Tech cartridges had unique ROMs specifically for the machine and weren't compatible with regular Mega Drive cartridges.
>>12777073It's the Genesis version running in an Arcade cabinet, doesn't matter if the format is different. But you already know this.
>>12777090You're already moving the goalposts. You said Streets of Rage wasn't in arcades, but it was.
>>12777015>>12777031It looks neat while you're playing too
>>12777114You don't keep your console in an entertainment center? It's just sitting out on the floor?
Are there any differences in the versions packed in with the original model Sega CD? I only ever had the model 2 that came with Sewer Shark
>>12777127>Each game is mostly identical to their Mega Drive counterparts, though have minor changes thanks to the Mega-CD's enhancements. All digitised speech samples have been replaced with higher quality audio, the first level in Golden Axe uses different instruments and Super Monaco GP has extra drums. The Revenge of Shinobi is based on a later version than its cartridge counterparts, altering some of the bosses which infringe copyrights. For unknown reasons, Golden Axe is only a one-player game in this compilation.>Despite being the Mega-CD's selling point, only two games have an updated CD soundtrack (Golden Axe in the form of music recorded from its arcade board, and Columns which has a new title theme). This means only a small fraction of the disc is used. In Japan, the Streets of Rage and The Revenge of Shinobi names are used instead of Bare Knuckle and The Super Shinobi, respectively (though Streets of Rage still has Japanese text).
>>12776882I had this cart, was very exciting when I finally beat the Expert course in Super Hang-On.
>>12777106I wasn't the anon you started the argument with. I disputed you saying it was an arcade game designed to munch quarters, it was not.
>>12776917anon those are not females
>>12777143ywnbaw
>>12777130Cool, thanks for the info. There must be a ton of different revisions of Revenge of Shinobi considering the original version had you fighting Batman,Spider-Man,Godzilla and The Terminator as bosses. I think Spider-Man was the only one Sega ever actually had legal permission to use. That's the nice thing with retro games, you can actually try all the different versions. With a modern game it would just get patched out and no one would ever see the original game ever again
>>12777020Streets of Rage was never released in arcades. And every boss in Golden Axe can be cheeses by tackling them (or backswinging in 3)
>>12777185>Streets of Rage was never released in arcades.
>>12777215That is literally just a mega-drive with four slots and DRM.
>>12777226>it's not an arcade game because i said sostop being a fucking mongoloid for once in your miserable life
>>12777226>That is literally just an AES with four slots and DRM.
>>12776882Sanic is all you need
>>12777180>Original version is a ninja shapeshifter, first appearing as Spider-Man and then turning to Batman>Later releases change the ninja to the actual Spidey; he leaves when defeated and Batman/Devilman is now a separate boss>Most recent release goes back to the single shapeshifter, but now he's pink since Sega can't use Spidey anymoreRevenge of Shinobi definitely had a long and weird legal road.
>>12777232You started this argument saying Streets of Rage was an arcade game designed to munch quarters. It's not, it was designed for the Genesis and then later put in these arcade cabinets.
>>12776882Wow a cart that contains the entire serviceable library of the Genesis on it. Efficient!
>>12777374Fuck you.
>>12776882When I first got a Genesis about fifteen years ago, this was the first cartridge I bought for it. It seemed a no-brainer and an easy way to start my collection.
>>12777438Got tons of fun out of playing Golden Axe and Streets of Rage with my friendsIt's a great cartridge to have
>>12776917>>12777020jackie chan stuntmaster is the greatest beat em up of all time
