They would ping-pong around in quality but MOST of the retro ones are are good and....I guess 2, some would say 3 of the non-retro ones are good.

Phantasia is style over substance. Beautiful art, beautiful music, hillarious translation, god awful gameplay.Haven't tried the others.

Even the much-hyped remake of Destiny did nothing about half of the god damned game being running around samey dungeons with almost nothing happening.Symphonia is flawed and has many "that part"s, but it's fun, especially with friends, and has an excellent suite of story, world, and characters. Abyss is significantly better in many ways and the dungeons aren't as annoying, but it has several parts of the story which are just walking from one cutscene to the next. I personally love the worldbuilding and think the characters are good too, but it's a divisive game where you either love the fact that everyone has huge personal flaws or hate it.
