You can beat Zelda without a guide if you make your own map.
Your map doesn't mention which bush you need to burn
I can beat off.

Same with Wizardry. Most people never made a single map.

VATTEN
>>12784751You have to keep in mind that DAHH also has VARLO and that's really important to consider
>using a mapyou didn't beat the game.
>>12784735I don't think Zelda is big or complicated enough to need a map. I did have a few notebooks full of maps, clues/hints, and passwords for various games back in the day, though. I recall that my maps for Deadly Towers got ridiculously huge and complex because I never realized that they loop at some points, and I had a bunch of passwords for games like Legacy of the Wizard that didn't work because I mixed up O and 0 or something.
>>12784738The manual covers the really bad dungeon entrances near the back.
>>12784735you dont need a map for zelda, its a big grid.
The original FDS release did not come with a map, or the start of a strategy guide either. Only the cartridge re-release from february 94 did, and at that point the Famicom was considered to only be a hands me down console for very little kids (and they were already treating little kids like they were more stupid than in 86 by that point), and that re-release sold only a fraction of what the original did.

>>12784735So is this just a trace of another map, or is it part of a much larger piece of paper that you started in the middle of and added the grid references at the end when you'd finished?Speaking of grid references, I'm not a fan of letters down the Y-axis.
>>12785108Both the FDS version and the cartridge version manuals include a map of where to find the first two dungeons. Why are you lying?
>>12784735drawing your own map is kinothe only time i couldn't figure something out myself was the entrance to the 7th dungeon because it looked unremarkable and nowhere else does it force you to light up a tree with your candle

I've written a handful of FAQs and even extensively edited a game wiki before, but I still feel dirty when I use my own guides
>>12785348>wrote FAQs>edited wikis>used a guideYou. Didn't. Beat. The. Game

>>12784889>using ypur own abilities to make a map while exploring is bad.Even with asperger level 5 i know that you have to be mental because is normal skills but you clearly can't do that or enjoy the game hence make up useless rules and so on to say "you didn't beat the game" just because you are a masochist.
>>12784735Making maps is just fun. This is probably the only way I'd have fun playing the original Zelda
>>12785150They are referring to this map. It also contains more info on the back that basically spoils the game. This sheet did not come with the original
>>12784738>Your map doesn't mention which bush you need to burnit filtered millions
I didn't have to draw a map. Everything fit in my head. OG Zelda was quite easy. Zelda II was peak though. That one badly needs that Nintendo remake magic.I did have to make maps for other games at the time, tho. Mostly because they weren't built as well. I'm not a genius, but Zelda really isn't this dense puzzle that people make it out to be.
>>12784751It says DAMM, which is Swedish for lake.
