this thread is genuinely boring as shit
>>12785451>>12785456Lmao
>>12785451I completed it a few days ago, collected everything. By far the biggest issue with the game is that it's way too easy, even for a collectathon. Easier than any 3D Mario, easier than Spyro, and much easier than Banjo, which I also feel is too easy. It never offers the slightest challenge, and if you somehow manage to die, you always respawn at almost the same point, so there isn't any punishment for failing. It just feels dull, like a cartoony walking simulator with the occasional hover bike section.
J&D is one of the few games I can play from start to finish and not get bored. Areas like Snowy Mountain are pretty lame but the Spider Caves are a decent last jump in difficulty to prepare you for the last area. It's easy and intuitive to collect everything too so I always 100% it, usually takes like 4 hours or more.
Your bait sucks, shidder. Even if the game sucks, no one cares about your gay little opinions. You became too predictable. Walk on home, faggot. The board isn't falling for it anymore.(In all fields)
>>12785451> good thing is actually LE BADfuck off
>Jak
>>12785451I didn't play it but my brother played it for about 2 days then immediately dropped it, so maybe
>>12785451Yea, a series I missed out at the time when I was working at GameStop, I tried playing it recently and I like the art style but the game was crushingly boring.
>>12785543Why does every game HAVE to break your balls? What's wrong with a nice relaxing easy game you can 100% in 3 days without stressing? You have plenty of games that break your balls, why can't you appreciate something more carefree?
>>12785451Lowkey? Kinda true. I booted it up last week and quit one hour in. Mind you I had played this as a child, so I remembered a lot but playing as an adult it was just... A really bland colectathon. I remember 2 being way better.Conversely I recently picked up the original ratchet and clank and that's been pretty fun straight away. Sly series is great too, still gotta play Thieves in Time, not sure if I want to replay the whole series first.
>>12787223nta but it's not about it breaking your balls, it's about it being challenging enough that you actually pay attention and feel satisfied when you achieve somethingJak might as well play itself
>>12786979Try Jak 2. It's legitimately better and has a much more interesting story too. The only people who shit on it are retarded contrarians who dislike that it became popular due to borrowing some systems from GTA.
>>12787265>nta but it's not about it breaking your balls, it's about it being challenging enough that you actually pay attention and feel satisfied when you achieve somethingThat's a (You) problem. Learn to appreciate games as more than just a replacement for the lack of personal achievement in your life.
>>12787271No thanks. If I want to relax, I'll go take a nap, or go for a walk, or read.If I'm playing games, I want to be stimulated. Stop advocating for games being for braindead retards, that, and projecting about whatever stupid shit you're going on about life achievements.A game can be relaxing and still be engaging.
>>12787274>If I'm playing games, I want to be stimulatedLiteral NPC.
>>12787276>the guy wanting to turn his brain off is calling others an NPCWhat is this phenomenon called?
>>12785451Yes. But that's good sometimes. A kid must learn to deal with boredom.>>12785543This is the sort of game I let my kid play when I want them to get bored of video games and do an outside hobby.
>>12787223Games relax me when they interest me. I'm not interested in playing Cookie Clicker.
>>12787276You're the fucker who cannot relax in real life and must plug himself into a prescribed video game supplement LMAO. Take a walk nigga.
>>12787270Ya know what I did very briefly play Jak 2 when it released but I’m talking only a few minutes just because I heard it was a gta style game. Yeah I may go back and try it because that one actually may be fun to me. At the time, there was just to many other games releasing constantly so I missed out on some franchises. W modern gaming in the shitter it’s given me time to go back and play retro games which are far superior and it’s not even funny.
naughtyslop didn't make any good /vr/. the first thing they made worth playing was uncharted.
A better, larger, more challenging, and more interesting game than any Mario slop.
>>12785543You're obviously right and people are having to come up with the dumbest shit to disagree with this. Jak is about the standard for most 'PS2 classics', it's quite dull but it's probably one of the most notable things on the system anyway and it looks impressive, so people overrate the fuck out of it when it's obviously inferior to the actually good platformers from the previous generation.
>>12787379Wigger.
>>12787548Mario has consequences when you die
>>12788001Jak II sounds like the game for you if you want to be punished for dying by being sent back to the beginning.
>>12787559>it's probably one of the most notable things on the system anywaylel what? ps2 has the deepest library of any retro console
>>12788098And this is one of its 20 best selling games.
>>12788001>implying you'll ever die in a Mario game
>>12788098No idea why anyone would think Jak & Daxter, the franchise Naughty Dog started on PS2 and ended about when the PS2 generation died, is a very notable game for the era or the system...
