Confess your retro game sins, my son. Did you forget to tithe 10% of your collection to the local diocese this year? Confess and all is forgiven.
>>12787051am not a crosscuck
>>12787063And your retro game sins, my child?
>>12787051I watched a playthrough of re4 instead of completing it myselfI tried to play 5 hours of re4 myself and I was so bored I genuinely fucking fell asleep. I wanted to shut that shit off within minutes of booting it up but kept on telling myself "This will be good, I've seen so much praise for it." and it never got better. I also fell sleep watching the playthrough because that was boring as fuck too. I really enjoyed the first 3 so I am upset I didn't enjoy 4.
I'd swap games from the corner store with ones I had that were shitty. I sticker swapped Superman 64 with Smash Bros and Madden with Majoras Mask. I think no one else used that store for rentals other than movies and they never checked.
>>12787097This wouldn’t work IRL but it’s a nice fantasy anon
>>12787063No such thing as a "crosscuck". But there is such thing as a blue haired atheist cucks(you) who let black men fuck their girlfriend as a form of "reparations"
>>12787173this thread is about games and sins
I can't bring myself to just enjoy playing games these days.I always fall into the same trap of feeling guilty for not doing something more productive with my downtime, and then I spend the rest of it not doing anything.
My uncle did not work at Nintendo
I used save states to hasten my power-up cycles when playing through the SMW hack Jump 1/2. Instead of traveling across the map and re-powering up at the yoshi house I just did it once and used a save state to save myself the 30 second chore of doing it every time I died.
>>12787051I inherited mario 64 and the first two sonic games and their systems but never touched sonic and never played through all of mario 64 after years of having the chance.
>>12787218Mine did and he said your uncle did too. I’m so sorry. I also want to confess that I’ve never even opened a game manual in my life.
>>12787409Inaction is only a sin if the situation calls for action
>>12787051I confess to selling pirated Dreamcast games for $5 each to Dreamcast owners I know that didn't have a PC.
>>12787606How many copies did you sell, my child
>>12787051I bought so many games that are retro now as a kid. I often would just play them for 20 mins, get stuck at the first boss or some very early segment, then give up and never play them again.Did this for like 80% of the games I got between the years of 1997 and 2006. I only started playing games to completion outside of a few instances when I turned 18. It was especially bad for PS1.
>>12787051I'm playing Bunker 2 in N64 Goldeneyeand I hate itThis mission is one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had in any video game ever it is actual bullshit
>>12787436Reading the game manual on a drive back home in the back seat late at night was the best man.
>>12787051my mom got a used copy of ff8 from the discount bin for dirt cheap. the discs were all scratched and i couldnt get past disc one (it froze during the cutscene where you're supposed to shoot the sorceress). a classmate let me borrow his copy, and i swapped the discs, giving him the scratched up one. he never noticed. i came clean to him at the 20 year reunion though, which felt good, but he genuinely had no idea, lol.
>>12787051I didn't play a non pirated game until 2013 when I opened a Steam account.
I got max completion on DK64 just to spite the people saying there was too much content. I don't even like Rare 3D platformers, I've never gotten past the first couple worlds in either Banjo games.
>>12787190>>12787051How can there actually be a sin in relation to a hobby such as this?
>>12787959>just to spite the peoplehow'd they respond?
>>12788016They pointed at me and said things to each other in whispers. Obviously afraid of my power level
>>12787961Your sin, for instance, is ignorance
>>12787173Christianity is the most beta cuck religion ever
>>12788136tiny, sinful, yellow hands typed this
>>12788096So my sin is not understanding why it's bad to enjoy a hobby any way I like?
>>12788169Your sin is ignorance, yes.
>>12788170Serious question, assuming these threads you make have some kind of genuine sentiment behind them. What does it feel like to experience something like feeling sin in relation to classic video games?
>>12788219autistic or ai?
>>12787613I'd have to estimate about 900 to 7 people. I made good profit.
>>12788136Projection, not reality. Christians make money than you Satancucks.
>>12788236Maybe it is partly autism not understanding why the term sin could possibly be applied to how one plays video games. But more likely I'm just old and from and era where people were literate and took the language they spoke seriously so as not to childishly ruin the meanings of important words.
>>12788347definitely autistic
>>12788323Which is the real irony of Christians. They follow a man who they say is the son of God brought here to impart divine wisdom on how to live a life without sin, such as not escalating violence or accumulating worldly wealth as possessions. It was him saying these things that made the Jews hate him so much. But a Christian will hear Jesus say that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven because no one can serve two masters and he'll shrug, buy another BMW and think "well surely he didn't mean ME! I'm special" There is no such thing as a rich Christian. It's an entire religion of hypocrites.
>>12788361Of autistic means I take language seriously, okay. Keep on degrading yourself.
>>12788372autists tend to be aggressively opinionated on mundane topics, so yeah it probably does
When I was a kid I bought a used copy of Vagrant Story. It came with a demo disc of something but they gave me a second copy of the real game instead. I immediately went to another store and sold the duplicate because it was free money. The gamestop guy looked so disappointed in me when I tried to sell it. I explained why but idk if he believed me
>>12788365No such thing as a rich Christian? Tell that to the My Pillow Guy, Donald Trump, Lauren Boebert, Nancy Mace or any of my wealthy Christian friends who owns a yacht or a fancy sports car. They often donate to the poor by the way and are very blessed. Something you Satancucks seethe about because you can't live that type of lifestyle due to being fat, lazy and moronic.
>>12787051Started playing Bayonetta (on steam) again and i was so determined to 100% it this time but burnout got to me so badly and i ended up being incredibly bored and hitting invisible walls all the time that i uninstalled it :/
>>12788443Go be offended somewhere else. There’s probably another rapture date you should be panicking about
I stored my PS2 away when emulation for it because good enough and I'd rather have all my games on the computer than deal with old electronics prone to failureI have a CRT tv that I don't use because I prefer the look of a CRT shader tweaked to my autistic liking, also see above
>>12788443None of them are real Christians. They are at best delusional and more likely flat out hypocritical. They ignore the very words of the man they claim to worship. >Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:24b-25>No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be loved to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” Matthew 6:24>“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Luke 12:32-34It's not me calling them and you hypocrites who take the words, deeds and sacrifice of Jesus in selfishness and vanity. Jesus himself makes this very clear. At least Trump knows he's a fraud and has said he knows he's not getting into heaven. Most of the others are in for rude awakenings, assuming they're not purposefully evil like Trump.
>>12788443> liars, con men, conspiracy theory schizos> “blessed” rich christiansThey’re the same photo
>>12788136
>>12788527But did you tithe 10% of your retro to the church this year, anon?
>>12787959Did you enjoy the game?
>>12787051Not really much outside of the fact I use save states if it's a super hard retro game that I don't have the feel of. Once I start becoming competent though, the save states go out the window. That being said, I really only did it with Mega Man 1-3 till I learned you can use the moves relatively liberally to get through the harder parts of levels and Castlevania 3 until I got used to the platforming.
>>12787051I stole one of my neighbor friend's PS1 memory cards a little over 20 years ago. We stopped hanging out together a few years after that, but I found out that he died of a heroin overdose last year. RIP. I still have his Xenogears save.
>>12789382You should delete it. Wipe that niggas last gaming legacy smoove off.
>>12789401Unironically this
>>12789324You didn’t beat the game
I don't think I've ever actually beaten a SNES game, despite playing it daily my entire childhood. I'm a fraud, I couldn't even beat Super Mario World.
>>12789382Bro you butterfly effected that to happen to him. By stealing his PS1 memory card, you led to his overdose. Shameful. Imagine the day he decided to try heroin, he instead was feeling nostalgic, and fired up his PS1 with his favorite games. YOU ARE GUILTY ANON, GUILTY
