Are you starting a new file to celebrate?
>>
Yeah, I'm gonna play it in my moldy concrete storage unit with all of my merch

Why is your collection in a dungeon?

I really like SNES RPGs, but have yet to ever play Mother 2 due to being spoiled on nearly every event that happens in the game. (My own fault; I was very curious on who the boy in Smash was before I knew how to emulate and looked up everything about the game.)
I'm sure it'd still be a lovely game to play despite this, but I've never been able to justify devoting a playthrough to it when there are so many other interesting SNES RPGs I know nothing about.

Trust me man, I also got spoiled when I was a kid but it still ended up being a joy to play, give yourself a favor and play it.

the game is way more about the setting/experience than the story beats. i love the game but honestly its pretty generic save the world from the evil being stuff. the individual conversations with everyone is where the game's personality comes thru and most of that stuff isnt even related to the story unfolding.

>Giygas, the final formidable foe from the beloved classic "MOTHER," has launched his counterattack. Can you protect our beautiful Earth from this universe's greatest destroyer...? "MOTHER 2: Giygas's Revenge" is a grand adventure RPG set in the modern era. Presented by Shigesato Itoi and his team, it's packed with unprecedented fun.

I played it once and it was fucking annoying with the archaic dragon quest type menu bullshit and fuck item inventory management especially

Not sure what SMAP has to do with MOTHER 2, but I guess that's a better marketing gimmick than "this game is shit, don't play it."
Takuya Kimura is the TV commercials, too.

He was representing the "grown ups" the slogan talked about.
Also I guess Itoi was friends with him
>>12789506
Getting filtered with Mother 2's inventory (when you have so many options including one that will send an NPC running to you to sell him items anywhere), just means you were IQ-filtered

I do intend to, but I figure the more I put it off, the more I might forget and the more fun it'll be.

>he doesn't play EarthBound one-handed with a slice of pizza in the other hand, unbothered by inventory management
major skill issue
