It's just a super cyberpunk themed C64U. I like it though. I put my C64U into a C64C case because it has a more ergonomic keyboard angle and height. With a backlit mechanical keyboard (Mechboard64).
>>
Even though the C64U has a USB keyboard by default (the included KB connects to a USB header on the motherboard) there is a header for the classic keyboard connector as well.
>>
Anyway is it retro? Seems to be. No less than the chinkheld general thread's wares are retro.

New tracker out for C64U which features up to 10 SID voices as well as 6 more tracks of samples, samples are limited to somewhat less than 64KB in size tho.

Cash grab.

I'd love the look if it didn't have that fucking cyberpunk logo. Completely ruins its worth as a prop or interesting novelty.
At least put it on the bottom if you've gotta have it, man geez

Just noticed that and yea it kills my interest as well. If i got one i would have to cover that up with a Commodore logo sticker or something.
>>

I'm just curious about the demo with Lukhash music it comes with.
>>
Yeah that cyberpunk logo is pretty gay.

it comes with a tonne of demos. i think nearly everyone in modern c64 demo scene has something of theirs included on a usb or something

You know, I could almost respect this if it was based on the actual tabletop game.

a C64 based cyberdeck would be pretty sweet

possible you might be able to make one if you were able to reduce the board size (ben heck style). they should make one but a lot of people are starting to realize they might not be around long if these keep this preorder nonsense up and start a proper manufacturing schedule with outside distribution.

i'd call it scrounging for updoots realisticly, not a single one of those looks like it would survive being chucked it a bag and rattled around all day till i need it.
either the fragile 3d print shite will break, or one the many MANY sticking out cables/antennas will bend and rip their connectors
and of course some are riddled with "muh vaypourwayve" trash

well duh, this is the third one this year right?
>nu-64 using decade old cases that didn't sell

come on, they're just silly fantasy laptops made for fun
if you're looking for actual ruggedized combat-ready laptops you'll always have stuff like the GRiD or the Toughbook series, which are admittedly pretty damn cool
>>

what is the point of that garbage?
on top of looking barely usable, you can't do jackshit with the specs those things have.

Virtual heists on corporations, duh.

No shit dude, grifter that bought the Commodore name got these clones made so he get enough goodwill generated so that he could hawk a flip phone (which is the product that he actually wanted to make) to potential suckers.
>>
>>12803113
I've read it's just an Arise + Lukhash demo in a 2MB cartridge.
>>
>>12803709
haven't heard about this cart. all i know about is the usb stick they supply with all of them.

C64U is so much less expensive than the Ultimate64 that it's not even funny.
