I realized at some point in the past few years that the NES sucked. I got mine when I turned 7 in December of 1987 I believe. All it did was piss me off but I had to have it. I didn't realize how much I hated it because I thought I was supposed to love it and tried so hard to love it. There are a few gems. I think of all home consoles though the NES, when taking into consideration the sheer number of games available for it, has the absolutel worst ratio of decent (or even tolerable) to shit. Ever. I realized in my 40s one day, even after watching AVGN through his hayday, that the games and the system are just fucking horrible. All the nostalgia for the NES is just that - nostalgia and I think it's mostly misplaced. It's just missing being a little kid again not missing this terrible shit stain of a console.

I second this. It just wasn't powerful enough to do much. The games were torturously hard for no reason or because they were programmed like crap; and that damn flicker anytime more than three characters appeared onscreen was intolerable.

Ive been playing TSB since I was 3 years old. It is literally the first video game I ever played. I just enjoy going back and playing old sports games I never have before. For example, this game actually has a very in depth playbook feature, and good graphics and animations for its time, but the game itself is rather poor
