Only for about a week with a wallhack. This guy joined my clan and eventually showed me the hacks he was using and shared the wallhack with me. It was neat, but I learned I'd already been wallhacking for ages just using my ears and having the visual wasn't that much different for me so I stopped. Now ghosting? Telling my buddy where the enemies were via spectating? I did that all the damn time.

No, had a shitload of fun on the local public server though. Which happened to be entirely people near me as that's how you get low ping in those days. The regulars formed a clan and we always tried to split evenly on both sides so randos who joined wouldn't get wiped. We did stupid shit like surf and zombie sometimes. Had lots of custom sounds to play. One chick in the chat so we gave her a laura croft model that looked extremely out of place with its proportions and texture. Those were the days man. Obvious cheaters could just be vote kicked. Zoomies and their ranked official servers will never understand.

No, but a "friend" invited me to 1v1 on an AWP map over LAN at his house decades ago. He started absolutely obliterating me despite never beating me online. I walked around to check his setup and realized he had deliberately left his wallhacks on. Realized I'd been frauded and never spoke to him again. Genocide all cheaters.

I did in Source once, just to get a laugh. The speedhack I found wasn't even that fast. But I would try and beat the enemy team to a certain spot on Dust 2, then run alongside them behind them and wait till they were distracted by my team then start lighting them up with bullets. After a few times it wasn't fun and stopped. Glad I didn't get VAC banned

Only once in a while. We would have lan parties and all use spiked models so you could see people coming around corners and whatnot.
