I got filtered, how am I supposed to level up stats if fighting a lot of battles will make everything one shot me? It's an interesting system but this seems a bit flawed.
How to play a SaGa game:- forget everything you know about JPRGs- don't look up spoilers, don't try to metagame it- just play the video game, gradually figure stuff out, and trust that it's well designed- don't grind
>>12807238Have you considered not sucking?
>>12807294>you need to fight a lot of battles to get sparks and learn moves and level up stats>fighting a lot of battles to do this will fuck you over how is this a me problem?
>>12807454Don’t grind. Just play the game and let that stuff happen naturally as you progress
>>12807279>- don't look up spoilers, don't try to metagame it>>12807238just read a guide like everyone else. heck some of them have printed guidebooks.... in japanese.
>>12807527Do not do this. SaGa with a guide will ruin it. The game systems are complex and trying to micromanage metagame them sucks. Just play the video game.
>>12807528no. everyone who "just play it blind bro!" is a fucking bot who read that meme online. fuck off. all the "vets" who played SaGa checked guides and even hack the ROMs. to figure out how everything works. we want to know how everyone works! it's like how DnDfaggotrons keep minmaxing their multiclasses, and usually end up abusing mages or do another boring Fighter-Rogue.
>>12807528i swear you fuckers and the OP are just spambots reposting the same meme. there's a fuck SaGa "general" that's still up on >>>/vrpg/. read some of it.people read guides to play the games. esp those that were not officially translated . it's necessary. it's a nerdy ass series with lots of probabilities and stats. Unlimited was basically a damn boardgame/tg/ . /tg/ people read. they read guides , or they write them and share them. that happens for every damn nerdy complex RPG with abyssal lore and mechanics.i swear you chucklefucks are either bots or just refuse to fucking read anything at all.
>>12807550Wrong you dumb maggot
>>12807557If your game needs a guide to play, it probably isn't worth my time.
You need to play all of these games with a guide because there is too much permanently missable shit and the game doesn't tell you what equipment does
> fpbp makes it effortlessly simple> no one listens
>>12807658That post is wrong about everything
>>12807664This is a programming meme but it applies here too
