Not gonna lie, it's kind of filtering me. The constant jittering gives me a headache after a while. I sort of get the appeal for movies, and for 30fps video games, where you really are getting a full 640x480 image spread out across multiple fields. But for 60fps video games, where you're always getting those half-images? I don't really see the point. Especially for field-rendered PS2 games that NEED to run at 60fps to work properly. If you're game's native resolution is 640x240, wouldn't it be easier to just do straight-up 240p?
>>12807972It's not really noticeable in motion, and even in stills it's not noticeable with a flicker filter. The extra resolution is welcome.
>>12807972You may have some kind of brain issue. I assure you that for normal people 480i is vastly superior than 240p. Half images absolutely combine to create full resolution images, even with motion. At least if you have a properly functioning visual system, maybe you have a problem.
you just get used to it. if you don't, you're nitpicking
>>12807972Looks fine on an old CRT TV.
>>12807972>InterlacingA necessary evil to get more details back then in games where the alternative to 480i would be 240p. Are you playing on a CRT?
>>12807972Agreed. 240p60 always looks better than interlacing.>>12808376It looks just as bad on a CRT.
>>12808480What CRT are you using?
On most CRTs it's a non-issue, but you definitely need a lower TVL spec to make it less noticeable - that means playing on a high-end CRT can make the flickering from interlacing more annoying. Most shaders however handle it like fucking shit and you'll need to find the 3 or 4 that can make interlacing look good (guest-advanced, koko-aio and megabezel IMO), otherwise it's best to let the emulator handle it if the option is available.
NO
