>>12809064As a side game made by Sonic Team, it's fine, and has some interesting mechanics. The A-Life system was pretty innovative for its time, which would get reused in Sonic Adventure. It never had enough appeal to replace Sonic as Sega's Mascot. NiGHTS was just too fucking gay for 1996. The general populace (who knew what a Sega Saturn was) back in 1996 looked at NiGHTS and said: "No Way, fag!".
