In 1986 we had "Western express" which had horse combat vs trains similar to sunset riders, but it also had scrolling kung-fu style beatem up gameplay as you ran along the top of the train fighting a aeries of opponents, and if yoy took too long they would dynamite the linkages between train cars and cause a game over.
