What are some good action (or action-RPG) games from the Dreamcast/PS2/Gamecube/XBOX generation. Stuff that still holds up today.

to be brutally honest, so far the best, most engaging ARPG of that generation was Elemental Gimmick Gear. Also on Dreamcast, Napple Tale is a competent borderline ARPG

On the GC I haven't tried Lost Kingdoms yet, only ARPG I'd consider there.

Right now I'm looking for PS2 ARPGs, but none clicked yet. Eternal Ring was fine, all YS remakes are dull, and some which look fine like Dark Cloud or Rogue Galaxy seem to have bland combat a-la MMORPGs
