The projectors bulb is susceptible to static burned images. Especially the bulbs used in the projectors then.

The discussion about playing a console on this setup is interesting but why do you present it in such a horrific way?
Why do you post like this?

I'm confused, how does the projector know to put the same palette as the sky there?
>>
>>12811737
And for that matter it extends it on the left as well

Old CRT projectors often showed overscan.
>>
>>12811729
Oh so it's no longer an issue with modern projectors

playen bibeo gaems
>>
>>12811591
Yes, old CRT projectors could get burn-in more easily than CRT televisions. The burn-in happens on the CRT, not the projection screen material.

output almost looks like rgb but you can see the yellow cable, I just don't see the disgusting dot crawl my system has

>>12811738
the system does that to hide gltichy scrolling artifacts, the sms has it too and it can be turned off in an emulator or with simple hacks

The warning was for front or rear projection tvs, not necessarily projectors themselves. The 80s models were CRT based and would easily burn-in.pic related.

Later rear projection tvs using LCD or DLP had much less risk and were common for gaming in the layer 90s and early to mid 2000s (cheaper than plasmas and offered bigger screens). DLP had huge 125ms+ input lag so games like guitar hero had display lag calibration built in.

I don't think so. I've used projectors for a myriad of consoles, for years, without any negative effects.
>>
>>12811426
Since I stopped watching tv a long time ago, I replaced my living room setup with a simple and cheap 1080p projector. I connected my mister to it and nowadays I wake up early when its quiet in the house and dark outside, and just relax and play vidya projected onto my wall. Its really comfy and hard to go back to monitors or tvs.
>>
>>12812872
The input lag of modern projectors is massive. Using a mister is the cherry on top, negating the main reason to use it.

Looks like the second gen ASCII stick. Their first version was a better model with arcade-like parts and a metal base.
