In a decade, we're going to be seeing nothing but predatory mobile-tier video games along with very short titles designed for quick consumption so players move on and pick up the next thing. It won't just affect Sony, but all of the big three and a chunk of the PC market as well.At a certain point, only retro games and indies will continue to exist by virtue of having been made at a time where they were simple enough to emulate and small enough to be effectively impossible to police against piracy. The entire concept of video games as they were prior to 2010 will be something entirely divorced from what's considered gaming in 2035, and the period between will just been seen as a transitional period.
