I like the Street Fighter EX series the most but I also only really like King of Fighter games.
Yeah it flopped really bad,nobody except the fgc niche crowd played it. Influencers who really liked it like Maximilian or Jwong kept the flame for years. Street Fighter is an iconic franchise that consistently did huge numbers... except the critical darling Sf3 that no one played. It's a weird spot where the mainstream appeal never really existed except the super niche fgc crowd where along Kof2002 it remains the most played old fighter

The SF3 project was a slow burner for Capcom, but it ended up being very successful in the long run with the game being released several times now on various platforms with almost no further development cost necessary.
