Why is this happening? What frustrations?
>>12812646sexual frustrations
>>12812646Nothing is happening.It's click bait.
>>12812652SPBPYes some zoomers are dipping their toes into retro gaming, but it's not a widespread phenomenon at all
>>12812646Gen Z is struggling to find well paying positions in the workforceThe younger gamers can't afford modern console and gaming pricesYou can pirate entire console libraries in secondsYounger players are moving to older consoles so they can play their pirated games
You've made this thread six times.
>>12812813>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOholy seethe>>12812813you LOST>>12812813Yes, and?>>12812813stay mad>>12812871fpbp

Remember gen Z is already reaching their 30s, the article is not talking about teenagers.Gen Z realized they were scammed and going to games before their time, before society collapsed completely
It's nothing more than tiktok trends. They completely fucked up the prices, that dogshit PSP camera costs at least 10 times more than a few years ago
>>12813014>They completely fucked up the prices,But anons here say it's just clokbait and nothing actually is happening
>>12812646>modern consoles and games are way too expensive>flash carts allow access to entire libraries of consoles for way cheaper>constant nickel and diming (micro transactions, season passes, subscriptions, etc.)>modern gaming phasing out physical copies>you will own nothing and be happyPretty self explanatory
>>12812921yeah and like half of gen z owned original gameboys and grew up on the ps2 so it's really not anything surprisingt. mid 20s zoom zoom
I love how they are afraid to pirate games lolSo they don't look poor to their friends. And if they don't have their hours played on steam it's like they never played the game! What's even the point of it's not on my profile! Pathetic!
>>12812646>Gen Z are actually playing along the expected and reasonable plan of abandoning big corporate products for well working, mature and stable alternatives.>This is somehow a bad thing and the typical 4chan user (now in his 40s-50) is mad because his old men's club is somehow invaded and invalidated. We should actually be happy, but also fucking not surprised. We all knew that there's just that much assfucking that your typical consumer can withstand and after breaking point they will just move somewhere else.... except there's not really a valid somewhere else so they move back to things and ideas of previous generations. This is not different from zoomer picking up Tik-Tok cooking lessons because they got priced out of fancy restaurants.
>>12813489Are you quoting the voices that speak in your head?Tell them to shut up a little, the are talking nonsense.
>>12812646Modern gaming has been mostly garbage. I think people are very sick and tired of being patronized and then force fed woke faggy agendas. Who the hell wants to be forced to witness gay kissing in a video game? This actually has been happening. Games were far better off before these politics obsessed retards flooded the industry with their sick agendas. Unless you are on top of things constantly researching you potentially run a risk of buying or playing one of these shit games. Like with Wolverine as an example. Imagine if some normal casual who doesn't know better sees it on a store shelf and remembers how much he likes Wolverine as a character when he was younger. Maybe he wants to enjoy a fun Wolverine game but he won't be able to because instead they used the IP for propaganda purposes. So unbeknownst to him he is better off playing Wolverine Origins from the Xbox 360 console generation days. That game is at least free from forced faggotry. This is the sorry ass state we are in for gaming. Where you got to go out of your way to avoid games with stupid agendas. Or just do the smartest thing and go all the way back to the retro years to assure you'll be free from being force fed the slop.
>>12812646>>12813573Also even with how much I am perpetually online and looking at gaming related topics and news, even I had to catch myself and really dig deeper or simply ask anons. Which has prevented me from buying certain games. Just recently I was really considering the Dead Space remake. Mostly because I did like the first two games and figured to myself, "surely it cannot be that bad right? Maybe its just the bathrooms and that is it..."Wrong! They shoehorned as much crap as possible and thankfully I asked anons before taking the dive. Its not like you can just look up videos either. Even if you can, its a lot more time consuming than simply asking anons. Too many games are being littered with this bullshit and its just annoying. I want to play my games and experience fun unique worlds. I do not want them to insult me though as a player. Whether its some lame self insert through a character like with Halo Campaign Evolved or whether its through the world itself like Spider-Man with its pride flag stupidity.
>>12813551
>>12813573I'm completely out of modern gaming but I think probably the best bet is the good old ignoring western games.I'm sure localizations will still infer agenda stuff though
>>12812646
>>12813581>but I think probably the best bet is the good old ignoring western games. You would be mostly right about this. Which is a shame because some western games have either something I would be interested in or something that used to be good. But you got to be careful about it. Unless a person is the type that isn't really bothered by this stuff but I don't know how any guy playing or is very into games wouldn't be annoyed by all this crap when its so built into the core of all of these slop games. I'd love a good Spider-Man, Wolverine game, or Dead Space of course. But it ain't going to happen at least not for the foreseeable future. So yeah with the asian games you are much more likely to be saved or spared from that crap but not entirely. A lot of it creeps into those games as well. There is a lot of issues with localizations for JRPG for example. And I think supposedly it even became such an issue that the Japanese government stepped in but maybe that thread was bait idk. I guess some anon itt would know.
yes some zoomers and even gen A are picking older games because it's free of social agenda, its uncensored and it features no DLC its 100% the full experience.
>>12812921zoomers are past 30 by now if you consider 1994-onward to be zoomer generation
>>12812646>Why is this happening? Some soiboi retard read a couple of social media posts made by soiboi retards but also this >>12812652
1 - Retro games are FREE. You can play them on any laptop, and most of them on any phone / tablet with a BT controller (do kids still run desktops as their main?).2 - By 2005 games were already near the level of modern games.3 - Microtransactions, social stuff, DRM, monthly payments, expensive hardware4 - A lot of modern 1-player games are very similar. Think FF7R1 or God of War - you're walking down a hallway to the next showpiece area where there's a fight. Upgrade systems are as deep as a puddle so balance is "easily maintained" by the devs. Then some talking... yadda yadda. It's li
When did the whole DLC and microtransactions start? It's weird, I have yet to see anybody say they like that stuff, in fact everybody seem to hate it, yet how maby years have the industry been pushing it? Yeah now it's collapsing but how did it get this far?Was it 7th gen?
>>12813718It really started in the late-00s.It's when lootboxes started showing up in the early-mid '10s that it became a serious problem. For example, LoL. It used to be there were 1-3 skins for $5-10 for each champ. Then Chinese Tencent bought Riot and suddenly lootboxes and $40 skins everywhere. Then the skins became so elaborate the visuals and sounds become almost cheats as everyone knows to pick up on the standard colors and sounds. They rely on whales spending a lot to keep the game afloat, at the detriment of normal play.If it's going to be done, I like the way Valve does it in CS. You get drops just from playing and can sell them on the steam market to buy games.
>>12813730I never considered people who play WoW humans, so it makes sense. What game was the one that had that horse armor?
>>12813735Oblivion, I think. But that really wasn't egregious.Another example I paid like $60 for PUBG beta. Years after release it became "free-to-play" and now the main menu screen is flooded with flashing ads for payment stuff. I paid for the game, damnit! I still think PUBG is the best game from the last 20 years, but I think that diminishes the game in some way.
modern gaming sucks and everything is bloated movieslop made by the same people who mocked games and gamers throughout their lives until they realized they could use it to make moneythat's why every modern developer and publisher seem to be at war with their own fans; games aren't made by or for gamers anymore.I was lucky to grow up during the peak of gaming when I could fully enjoy it with no responsibilities, and the newest gens are pissed off that the games they are growing up with are soulless and nowhere near as great as all these "retro" games
