I never see anyone talk about KOF Maximum Impact. Have you played this game? What did you think of it?
Let's talk about fighting games that are almost forgotten nowadays, anons.

i played it for the first time in high school.
i knew little about kof in general. i knew it was a fighting game series and played some of the yearly games one or twice before.
during second or third year of high school a kid in my class brought his ps2 to school one day (there was an event or it was the school anniversary, can't remember) and as a vidya guy i was interested. so, i stood in queue to play. my opponent was none other than the ps2 owner and supposed expert at the game. i can't remember who i picked, but most probably athena, may, for obvious reasons, or k, because cool dude.
i just spammed whatever i learned by looking the previous duels and won with a good lead. from that day onward i earned that guy's respect and never dared look down on me again. not like we had any ongoing rivalry or anything, though.
i'm not even particularly good at fighting games. i didn't even had a ps2, only pc. i liked playing the last blade and waku waku 7 on neoragex, though.

When the pirated decrypted SNK/playmore roms were being leaked this got a bit of attention. It's a sequel to the old SNK Double Dragon fighting game.

I struggle to enjoy this game, because every time I boot it up, I get to the part in the opening FMV with Lien's boobs in it, and decide to play with my other joystick instead.

Considering this game was responsible for one of the earliest memes it's shockingly undiscussed on /vr/

The first one is kinda clumsy, but the second is great. For the life of me, I could never beat that 200 battles in a row challenge.

Regulation A adds a couple new characters and 3 on 3 battles, but ditches story mode and challenges.

Played it very briefly. I remember the case pretty vividly because it had a 2 disc set thing. Can’t remember what was on the second disc I’d have to look it up, probably the ost and some bts stuff.

The impression I think I got was that it was like street fighter ex in that it took KoF into 3d

Fuck you i like it

It unironically looks better than COTW and the newest KOFs
