Persona 3 and Mother 3 both hit me really hard. Like I didn't play any other video games or even watch movies for a couple of days after playing them. I really just wanted to meditate on what I had been through.That said I played both at highly emotional charged times in my life. I finished Persona 3 literally during finals week of my last week of college, and I played mother at the height of my 2020, work from home never go out depression. \I guess I remember really liking FF9 cause I was a tween who was questioning authority.
