Why is this little piece of shit SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE?! No matter where I look, it's over $200. Even if it's in the worst possible condition, full of scratches and dents, missing the charger... the price simply WILL NOT GO LOWER THAN $200. If you want one that's actually in decent shape and not missing the charger it's more like $250 to $350. I've always wanted one of these little shits, but I really don't think they're worth the prices people ask for them. Do they actually sell at these prices, or are the sellers just sitting on these listings for eternity and not actually moving them?
it was always kind of a luxury item and they didn't produce that many.but back in 2010 or so, they were going for cheap. i bought one, fucked it up while clean it, then bought another and disassembled it with caution this time.i later fixed the first one, so i have 2 working micros now.

I damaged mine after i ate shit tripping on some fucked up sidewalk and it left a chip on the main unit and scratch on outter screen, so now i can't even stand looking at it. I did use it a lot back in the day though, probably my favorite gba model, especially for rpgs and strategy games. Part of me wishes i had gotten the Mother 3 system to round out my Mother collection, while another part thinks it looks really fuckin ugly.

I had 3 at one point but gave one away to my little cousin. I bought 2 of them when they were on clearance for $50 and the one I play the most I found at a thrift store about 17 years ago for $10. I've used mine a lot since I used to take it everywhere but I would never pay the prices people are asking now. For the past few years I've kind of retired it and now have a miyoo mini plus to carry around.

The screen is just as good as some of the chinkhelds you see promoted here. Swappable faceplates is wonderful, you don’t have to treat it like a piece of glass. >>12835441The reason gba looks washed out on a ags-101, ds lite or other modern display isn't luminance, it's color gamut which was a tiny portion of srgb on original GBAs.You're right to say the gba Micro is the only backlit gba with the proper gamut, however the ds phat ALSO possesses the gba clamped gamut, and it's far more playable. Actually fits in your hand properly, has nice buttons, loud stereo speakers etc. Only downside is 1 frame of input lag and a small border. Ds Phats are also super cheap so it's a far better option.You can also check if cleanscreen has re-adopted the agb rather than ags color gamut clamp which they said they would, also has a pixel grid filter so it's a great screen for the original gba
