Also PC and Sega Saturn users tasted original resinden evil 1 in 1997.So yes, everybody and his mom had being waited for RE2 a few years or months. And let's get real RE2 is almost as good, or as good as the original one.

>>12837201>Was RE2 really that successful?I only have 3 complains about it:- The extreme battle mode is exclusive of the dual shock version.- The cheat to have infinite bullets of all the weapons is exclusive of the dual shock version.- The same problem as resident evil 1: when the characters start to talk, you cannot skip the talk by pressing the start button(until resident evil 3 they finally fixed that problem).But, besides of those flaws, i still think is a great videogame, with wonderful 90s horror ambience. By far better than the woke remake.

RE2 is a more straightforward refined game. 2 is my favorite, and what I’d suggest to a first timer, but 1 is definitely harder on a blind playthrough and I think has a better tone and story. I’ll never understand anyone who likes 2 but can’t stand 1 and vice versa.

it was good bc capcom went balls out on the development for the game. It was nearly at completion as 1.5 when they scrapped and redid everything. Something that could and would never be done today. They got an actual tv writer to do the scenario. They pushed themselves with the gore, the design and presentation to basically allow it to stand as the last game in the series. Don't forget, RE is their biggest hit outside of Japan so they had major incentives to make it work.
