Basically using the analog when exploring, then switching back to the D-Pad when encountering more enemies. Was good for that.The ones on mine are Hall Effect, which are supposed to make for pretty good precision and also be drift resistant, apparently the latest versions of these use an even more drift resistant type of stick, though I'm not sure I'll ever actually use mine's hard enough that it'll make a big difference.
