'my guy', 'my guys' are generally my characters in RTS/RPG games. Never got the people that call them chars or toons. At most its character or party...but I prefer my guys

If the icon next to the life counter is a picture of the guy youre playing its an extra guy. If the thing you pickup is a mini version of the guy or the guys face rhat youre playing as, its an extra guy. If neither of those are there its an extra life.
