I started playing Zelda Ocarina of Time like 2-3 weeks ago. I beat Forest Temple the other day (yeah, the other day, because I play it from time to time. busy). yesterday I casually learnt that... the "Fire Temple" that awaits me has two different version of the song!! the original release's version, and the later releases. Turns out I downloaded the "Rev B" rom... I WANT TO CHANGE ITSo I tried, I went to download the original release, but it's useless, the game doesnt recognize my data from the Rev Banyway to change it??? I downloaded Rev B because I thought it was just bug fixes. turns out A) Fire Temple music is toned down (original one is creepy af) and B) it's censored or smth like that, the main villain blood is censored or smth like, idk I just read itI use RMG emulator
Just play the game from the beginning, what's the big deal?
>>12845553You can try saving your 1.2 game, there should be a .srm file. Then start the 1.0 game, save. Overwrite the 1.0 save with your 1.2 save by renaming it.

Just opened the 1.0 game and it automatically created a file the second I opened the game..I think the solution will be to find a way to tell the game to save the data with a specific name... or maybe... maybe it wont work anyway... The pleasure isn't in enjoying the game, it's in getting to the end as fast as possible.

>>12845968I tried it but I think it might only convert cartridge saves to emulator saves and not actually change the game version. I don't think I see any tools that actually change the game version of a save file.
>>12845553Probably won't work. You could try changing the save file to match the other rom file. If that doesn't work you could try using a save editor on a new save you mark things you already did as complete. I've never used an oot save editor but I'm sure they exist in some form. Other wise just deal with it or play to get back to the point you were at, should only take a couple hours at most to get to fire temple.
>>12845553The easiest thing to do would be to start playing Ship of Harkinian, which should let you play on from a converted save file. You can then mod the fire temple music back in with a mod that patches that.
