Uhhh, that was weird. Made a Leisure Suit Larry thread that all of a sudden got deleted when I came back to it. Let's try this again, shall we?

Currently playing through LSL3, so I felt like getting a thread going. Still have to play 5 and 6.

They used to make me leave the room when my older cousins were playing.

They ended up marrying chicks that already had kids and produced no offspring of their own while I have passed my genetics on 3 times. Take that losers!

6 is great, especially Shablee - what a woman!

Anon...

Besides all the tits and stuff, are these games actually good gameplay-wise?

They're typical Sierra adventure games, more or less like Space Quest or King's Quest with the same kind of puzzle progression with can be a bit frustrating at times
>>

only if you like pixel hunting, moon logic solutions for every puzzle, and soft locking your game without knowing it not even halfway in
fuck motherfucking Sierra, leisure suit Larfy is for fags anyway
honk if you love pussy!

7 is easy top 5 adventure game of all time.

Why are we chudding out in a retro video games thread

>A mention of heterosexual reproduction
>Chudding out
Nigger your brain is fucking rotten

LSL went downhill the moment they went full faggot cartoon animation style. Voice acting was alright though.

Leisure Suit Larry series is great from start to finish. The classic series, that is. Once it became 3D, quality dropped significantly.

There's also far fewer dead man walking scenarios and very intuitive puzzles.

Hey Auster.
>>
>>12851897
If you said 3, I might have agreed with you. 7 is by far the weakest classic entry.

Shablee was a double whammy of what to avoid as a grown man today, black women and...........

What do you call a dead man walking scenario?
>>
>>12855891
Is this a setup for a joke, or are you awkwardly asking what a dead man walking scenario is? Because if it's the latter; it's a situation where you missed or lost a critical item, or you failed a puzzle or solved it the wrong way, and as a result, you end up softlocking yourself where continuing is impossible, and it is impossible to go back and get the item or correct the mistake.

Usually 30+ minutes of progress is required for it to be a "true" dead man walking scenario.

Leisure Suit Larry 1 VGA version technically has around 9 of them, but most of them you have to make pretty obvious mistakes for, or go out of your way to do for them to happen. First time playing the game, I didn't run into any softlocks.

I did not realize until recently she was named after an actual drag queen from the 90s, the Lady Chablis. I know this because I stumbled on her autobiography at a used book store and read it. (The lady Chablis's I mean, not Shablee's.)

There's no way on Earth you didn't run out of money on your first run, anon. It doesn't help that the slot machines are rigged as fuck (or at least that's how I remember them)

Never finished the game but I want to get back to it; managed to finish Magna Cum Laude but I want to be able to beat the OGs

I save-scummed the casino bit. It was kind of obvious that if I lost all my money, I wouldn't be able to continue.
