What are your favorite retro visual novels?
I've only played the original Fate/Stay Night, and it was a long time ago, but I remember thinking it was quite good.
My all-time favorite is CROSS†CHANNEL.I went into blind and got completely blindsided by the plot. I've been in love with visual novels ever since.

Yu No is good, I love the music, little bit overreliant on pixel hunting and having to arbitrarily click on a million things, but the art and setting are cool, it's famous for a reason, porn game but the modern switch port is porn free if you care.

Does anyone know what VN I was playing on a PC in the mid-90s? All I remember is that you are leading a party through a dark forest, come across some strange slime, and then the party promptly gets tentacle raped.Japanese VNs were extremely rare in the West at the time, I have no idea how I came across this one. I don't remember if it was translated or not.

Finished cross channel yesterday, recommended by this thread, and it was good. In fact it's the first time that I really enjoy a VN. I also played True Love and it was interesting.Cross channel came with something called "tower of friends" which I'll play next.Thanks for reading my blog
