What retro game or console holds the most sentimental value to you? Why?

Gran Turismo 1 is my most nostalgic game. It carried me through a tough time in an key period of my life. I replay it every year, it's great.

We weren't well off financially, lived in a tiny apartment and my dad was working 2 jobs at the time. My mom bought this for me and my older brother without us even asking for one. I refuse to let this console and the 2 controllers it came with die.

It's not even my favourite 3D platformer or anything, but the original Jak & Daxter just takes me straight back to easier times. I have a very fuzzy core memory of playing it at a family friend's house when I was about 5. Everything after the first hub is kind of average, but that first area of Sandover Village, Sentinel Beach, Forbidden Jungle and Misty Island is just sublime. I'm going through some major life adjustments at the moment (moving cities with gf, trying to launch a new career) and so I've been playing this to keep myself grounded at night.
