Its sad that the remakes of this game are garbage but the original is still a great game is there anyone here who only loves the original?
>>12847834Me. Every piece of media related to FF7 released after the Square Enix merger proves that they never understood what made the Squaresoft original magical. The characters in the remake are caricatures of the original. It’s like how 343 Studios handled the Halo franchise post Bungie.
The final redpill is realizing VIII was the true masterpiece that needs no remake or mods.
I don't play modern remakes and talking about them on /vr/ is an invitation to talking about modern gaming and inviting in players who only play modern games

Maybe it's best played on PS1 and a CRT.Game is for the most part very good, definitely up there with stuff like Shining Force 2. For a rather straightforward story playthrough I was disappointed at times like how am I even supposed to figure out the location of Key to the Ancients without a guide or unbone myself out of a situation with the final boss when I'm out of revive items and mega elixirs? And here I was thinking I was doing so well up to that point. I'd love this game but it hates me. I can only hate it back by cheating.
FF7 is gay and people that play and enjoy it are also gay, remake or not :P

also you can cheese the game with 3 enemy skills and 3 mimes. hp plus and double cut is the nail in the coffin. for disc 1 load up counter attack, cover and long range on platinum bangle
