N64 turns 30 today. What’s your favorite classic game on it?
Didn't it turn 30 a month ago?

Ridge Racer 64 is the best game on the N64 because it's the only game on the entire system that runs great without also looking like absolute ass

>>12848505Mario 64 blew my mind at the time but it didn't age well, as most of n64 titles. I've been playing some n64 lately and surprisingly F1 World Grand Prix resist the pass of time in a way I would never expect.
>>12848505>World Cup 98Borrowed that off a friend was bretty good
>>12848505what went wrong?
>>12848572Cartridges and it came out too late
>>12848572>>12848581 this plus third parties finally had a viable option other than Nintendo. The Playstation dominated every demographic other than diehard Nintendo fans so companies no longer had to put up with Yamauchi's shit.
>>12848546Perfect Dark was a worthy successor that deserves to be on that list. Especially with the expansion pack.
>>12848619I was going to say. Perfect Dark is such a massive step up compared to Goldeneye I don't know why you would choose it over PD gameplay wise.
>>12848660I think Goldeneye has better levels, or at least they seem to appeal more to speedrun and retro communities. But definitely in the vs section - without and without coop - PD is superior.
>>12848505there are NO GOOD GAMES ON 64stop shilling this forgettable e-junk

>>12848505I like Pilotwings 64.30 years ago today, I stood on line for the only console that I've ever stood on line for. There were two neighboring stores, and IIRC the Best Buy had like 5-8 units or so, but they sold out. Dad went across the street as mom and I held our place in the given line, and IIRC it was like a Circuit City or something, and they had one and we secured it there. Got Mario 64 on day 1, would have liked to get Pilotwings 64 on day 1 as well but I had to rent that one a few times and buy a used copy some time later.Mario 64 is fun and I was happy with what I got, but I don't come back to it. The two that really stayed with me are Pilotwings and Shadows of the Empire. I'm a monster, I never really got into Ocarina of Time despite owning a copy.
>>12848514Okay gen alpha>>12848537Outdated post. Over 1 week old
I still have my original box from Toys R Us dated 9/29/96.
>>12848938No way! post the receipt impressive if true
>>12848556Show me a game with platforming as smooth and fun as Mario 64. They minted an almost perfect 3d platformer right out of the gate with no predecessors to build on.
>>12848950literally any other game
>>12848894a tech demo, a clunky 18fps zelda, a bunch of filler slop that looks like ass, no sir it's not goodthis guy rips the n64 a new asshole and i suggest u LISTENhttps://youtu.be/LsohhYII8BM?t=4802
>>12848505Mario and Zelda just can't compare to this
Shiren the Wanderer 2 was good but it's jp onry. I guess it may have an actual non-slop translation now though
>>12848514>>LOOKIN GOOD vaselineAnti-Aliasing is a must in 3D. Only a gorilla nigger or a liberal goy would complain about AA.
>>12848505I played a little bit of Mario 64 and Pilot Wings today to commemorate the anniversary, I'd like to do full playthroughs of them but I still have so many games in my Steam library I want to focus on instead.
>>12848505O no the transgenda heros at techspot feelin old now
Jet Force Gemini is so good yet no one talks about it.
>>12849109Pixels are good, video games have had them since the beginning.
