I've been playing this since last week and I'm pretty awful at it. I like the game though.

OP there is a silent hill PT gameboy demake(not retro but it sure "looks" like it is) I've also been playing through RE1 except as Jill for the first time and letting my kids watch. I warn them of the major spooks beforehand so they don't get too spooked. I got eaten by the snake in the piano rehearsal room last night because I'm not really great at that game either. I'll probably just go back to doom.

I recently got into doom and all the community made wads and great stuff, haven't checked out myhouse.wad yet but that would be a good one to play on the living room TV with the lights off. i'll play that pc98 castlevania game and then SoTN, continuing my castlevania run from last year.
i'm kinda up for some sm64 romhacks too but i need to look up some halloween stuff.
a good somewhat underrated game for october is shadow tower, i enjoyed it a lot last year.

pic related is pretty good.
plays mostly like a texture pack with minor changes to bosses, music and layouts for the first 3 stages but introduces something quite cool in act 4.
