>>12852182When the SNES launched I was in second grade and wanted it so badly but we didn't have the money for something like that. My parents said "If you win the lottery you can buy one." My dad went to the store that night and played the "pick 3" lottery and asked what numbers I wanted to play. I said 871 because it was the first three numbers of our phone number and I was a kid who thought I would obviously win the lottery. That night we watched the number drawing and it came in straight 8-7-1. I can still remember jumping up and down with my parents freaking out. I won between $500-800 so my parents bought me the SNES and pocketed the rest. Very surreal and a truly awesome moment from my childhood. I got in trouble for inviting a girl over to play SNES when my parents weren't home and got busted playing Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropica with her, great times.
