FF6 was one of my first jarpigs, I owned it on SNES and I'm dismayed that it's still one of the best after playing more. Can't believe it was originally going to end at Floating Continent.

Phantasy Star IVLunar Eternal BlueFinal Fantasy 6Chrono TriggerI just like more of the classic adventure feel that comes out majorly in PS4/EB. Everything about those games is so genuinely charming. Plus the combat feels very vibrant, like the animations a lot in these. Phantasy Star 4 in particular with it's approach in big expressive character portraits and panels that give it such massive cinematic flair. Presentation wise it's probably one of the slickest, coolest, well produced JRPGs of the 16-bit era. Bar none. Lunar just feels magical to me in general. Those games touch my soul in a weird way. I have a bias.Final Fantasy 6 is Final Fantasy 6Just not all that crazy about the World of Ruin. Pretty bloated cast but I do like the entire party, just wish more were viable or had fun gimmicks. Celes and Locke are great FF characters though. Chrono Trigger is a obvious classic. Fantastic game. Understood the appeal first time I played it. Not exactly the hardest. Really like how it transitions into battle a lot, how it plays, fun dynamics between the characters. Just wish there was more to work with mechanically. It's popular and rated high because it's the JRPG everyone can play. Not in a negative way. It's maybe one of the best of that generation but I like a lil' more meat on the bone.
