Hello /vr/, I want to talk about the Humble Amiga, whatever version you want the 500 600 1200 3000 tell us your story of the past, if you are playing something now. Share new ports, new software or update for the PPC or Amiga OS. This thread is all about the Amiga Supremacy. In the meantime I share my expirience, I was born in 94' so I didn't expirience the Amiga or Commodore line in general. My retro game and retro pc expirience let's say it had 2 times when I was 14 and discovered AVGN and LGR and so it all started the retro gaming but I started taking it seriusly only 2 years ago, by repairing my old consoles and downloading emulators for any device I had PsP, android, old server PC with XP, my modern PC.My first true expirience with the Amiga I'm having it with PIMIGA, I'm playing Dune 2 right now I finished the Harkonnen campaign, I'm playing Star trek anniversary, I played and finished Syndicate, I'm discovering emulators like Shapeshifter and Frodo, I'm following the tutorials for UAE and reading old Amiga 1200 manuals on how to operate, read how to use the workbench, install stuff and I'm in love with this retro computer, I'm not even using my original PC, I started downlaoding ports and other softwares, yesterday I tried Metal Gear MSX someone made a port and I love it, the community is all united and even big with big projects.Well I wanna tell even more but I think it's enough, I love this Computer, i Think i'll try to own a real one maybe a PPC or an old Amiga1200 to upgrade and put inside Amiga KIT.
>>12853394>Dune 2>Star Trek Anniversary>SyndicateThose are games from the time when PCs overtook the Amiga, the DOS versions are better. You should look into earlier games (Defender of the Crown, Shadow of the Beast...) or exclusives (Ambermoon, Perihelion...).
>>12853407>Defender of the CrownI tried it and I liked it I just put it on the side I made a long list of games that I want to play on the Amiga and those are not the only one I played.I played alone and then with a friends just last saturday Hero quest, like playing the original Board game. Then we tried together Turrican.Shadow of the beast I don't know that game but put in the list of games to try, Perihelion and ambermoon seems interesting I'm trying to find a old CRPG to play and thanks for the advice. Yesterday after I finished to read the settlers manual I tried a game and it's not too hard just need to get used to the controls, it's really interesting and I still don't know if I prefer it to sim city
I never played or owned one, but I did have a lot of XP with the Commodore 64 and that was fun. I oughta get an Amiga emulator setup because the graphics look great even today. Any CRPG game recommendations? I'll play other stuff too but that's my main interest.
>>12853427Sorry I actually didn't read the thread and now I already see a few games to get me started, thanks.
>>12853418Cool!, I have some more recommendations then. Games from Psygnosis are worth exploring, they tend not to be very good in the gameplay department but are consistently gorgeous both in visuals & audio. Besides "Shadow of the Beast", consider checking "Walker" & "Agony" out.Other than that, "Lionheart" is a pretty cool euro-platformer, and "Black Crypt" is another worthwhile Amiga exclusive dungeon crawler.
>>12853394such a great machine. I upgraded from my beloved Commodore 64 to the Amiga 500 once I head its sound capabilities. full digital audio sampling studio in my own home? instant purchase. I primarily used it as a home studio for my early ambitions to be a game musician but eventually got into the games side of things too. then went to the Amiga 1200 for the enhanced colour and processing power. for game recs I's say everything made by Geoff Crammond : The Sentinel, Stunt Car Racer, Grand Prix series, all amazing.

>>12853394if you're getting into Amiga why arent you going for the top dog, the Amiga 4000? its a beast.
>>12853394I'd recommend Elite 2 : Frontier, one of the most accurate space sims ever.
>>12854360Whats the point? The 1200 can play all the same games, and it’s much more easily accessible.
>>12854420can't play around with a video toaster on it

>>12853394This is now a Barry Bloom thread
>When we are developing original>“Gold/Silver”, the music was created by>the machine called Amiga.>Then, converted to MIDI data and lastly,>reconverted to make as a Game Boy sound.>I, myself programmed the original music.>Some of the tracks were created straight to>Game Boy sound, so MIDI data won’t exist.>Therefore I believe it was very difficult>to represent the old Game Boy music.>Especially the music of UNOWN from radio!
you can easily tell when the board enters ameritard time
>>12854420>The 1200 can play all the same gamesany 3D or vector game on the 4000 has three times the FPS.
>>12853394What was the point of Amiga after MS-DOS hit the scene? How could they cope after Carmack?
>>12856756MS-DOS predates the Amiga by 4 years, you dumdum
>>12856810You couldn't run DOOM. You failed to adapt. You're bald and old. No good games exist for Amiga.
>>12856756>>12856836Weak bait. Try again, Baljeet.
>>12857212Weak response. Still no rebuttal. No surprises.
>>12856836Commodore was facing bankruptcy before Doom even came out, dude.Stop getting all your opinions from youtubers.
>>12857239>Still no rebuttalWhat? You're just shitposting and wasting everyone's time. Aren't you the retarded indian monkey who thought MS-DOS came after the Amiga?
