By far the greatest music for the console AND the star mechanic adds so much depth to the platforming - how can you not say this is the greatest NES game of all time?
I liked it. Cozy game. Good for a handheld system in the winter when you call out of work and use your wife's ass as a pillow.
>>12853645+cat and a snack. Go throw some more wood into the stove and climb hack into bed. Literal heaven on earth until the kids wake up.
I know a lot of cringey nerds go on and on about how sunsoft is such a legendary developer. They crashed in flames as the 90s went on. Gimmick, Uforia, and Master Blaster were super fun and had neat design. To my recollection they had some quasi sequel to gimmick on game boy yet I forget the name of it...
>>12853641I really wish they made the title look less spastic, but I remember when I first started using ms paint and I really liked doing "wacky" stuff like that.
>>12853651yeah it's trip world. i liked it but it's MUCH easier than gimmick
>>12853641Gimmick feels like a very technical platformer. You have to be a literal master to even execute the basic gameplay mechanic.
>>12853641>NES games released after the SNESSuper Mario Bros 3 (in Europe).Seriously, Nintendo half assed the NES so much in most of Europe no wonder it fucking bombed in most territories, especially the UK and Italy.
>>12853662Yes, I recall that it was intended to be an easier game. Also funny to think that Yacupo (Yakopoo) is a mid-boss in Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors, an arcade fighter with Neo Geo, Sega Saturn, and PlayStation ports.
>>12853641Was that eXa arcade version ever dumped? Or at least just the music?
>>12853735SMB3 was released before the SNES in every European country that had both, your logic is retarded
>>12853762Except in the UK every Dixons at the time sold imports if people wanted. Nintendo were doing shit all to compete with imports of their own products let alone the competition. The NES was practically the Xbox One of the '90s.
>>12853708it's the celeste of its time
>>12853641It's just too narrow in scope. A game with 7 levels just can't vie for the title of the greatest. It's a trip, not a journey.
>>12853641It's very good, but Kirby's Adventure is the top NES game and it isn't even close.
I like it alright and the NES games of that time were technically impressive but they didn't have the same level of soul previous NES games had
>>12853641I had to double check if this was developed by a British studio, and you could tell from the opening level alone.
>>12853641it stinks
