How did it become the most patrician console?
>>12855028Shove it up your ass
>>12855028Is it? At the time, it had the best-looking FMVs, though some of its ports were weirdly inferior to their DOS counterparts. I just found out CD-i System Shock cut out the on-rails shooting segments entirely, so you're only left with its boring mazes. There also isn't any music on CD-i System Shock, which I thought was intentional until I saw DOS footage.
>>12855028>released with exactly one single game in october 93>didn't get another game until 3 months later in january 94They should've delayed it by several months. Would give em enough time to get the cpu they originally wanted plus a cheaper launch price.
>>12855045>CD-i>System shockWhat?
Never saw one irl and I live in the northeast US
>>12855061Whoops, my bad, I meant "Creature Shock." Anyway, it was one of the DVC games I had to test before submitting a PR to SAME_CDi. Would you believe it not only requires two discs, but swapping both of them before you even start proper gameplay?
>>12855090If the 3DO got it's rightful shake, we probably would have seen a port of System Shock. Just imagine how soulful that would have been.
>>12855103We live in a day and age where the original RE engine can be ported to Jaguar, anything's possible.
>>12855028It didn't. But it is underrated.
>>12855084it was a department store console
>>12855084my friend had one. His dad was upper middle class and we would play Gex and Soccer kid.
>>12855090>Creature ShockThat thing sure gave me a long period of nightmares but as a game it was absolute crap.
