Anyone play these games? I want to try out the first one but how's the best way to play it these days?
The first one comes with the sequel. That might be the easiest way.

>>12857630Thanks!>>12857629I saw the sequel at a local store with the bundled code in it, but there's no telling if the code has been used or not.
>>12857618Here’s a Steam thread that explains how to get the first game running if you own the sequel: >https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1940077685I played it on “Nightmare” difficulty a few years back and enjoyed it. It made you really have to cycle through the weapons to know how to hard counter each enemy, which made the gameplay a lot less tedious. The game’s aesthetic appeal is its main draw. Everything else is functional at best. Definitely worth checking out at least.
>>12857629They removed the original game on PC versions of Madness Returns, so you have to mod it back in to play that way. Its a pretty simple mod and still the easiest way to play IMO.
>>12857640>I played it on “Nightmare” difficultyDid you have to run past enemies or do anything like that? I played on hard mode and thought that was fairly balanced but haven't really felt up to trying nightmare yet.
