I feel like this system gives me more trouble playing games then any other cartridge system. I clean the games and only like four weeks later I have to clean them again to work. Maybe because of the systems high speed bus

Nes is what you described for me. Nothing else comes close.
>>12869778Have you tried emulation or recomps
>>12869825Yes the original NES is ridiculously bad at this, I'd recommend an AV famicon or a top loader, neither are perfect solutions but it beats dealing with carts not reading. >>12869807consider suicide
>>12869778Cleaning cartridges is part of the SOVLful experience of using real hardware. Just emulate if cleaning some pins once a month is such an intolerable task.
>>12869825This stuff is the best. It doesn't just clean the pins or remove oxidation, it molecularly bonds to them and permanently improves conductivity. I have games that I haven't cleaned in five years and they all work the first time. I cleaned them anyway and they were filthy yet it didn't make a difference.
>>12869778Have you looked at the pins on the cartridge connector? They likely need cleaning too, and it's possible that some of them are bent out of place/shape.
the cartridges would often not work even if they were brand new, try blowing in them before you waste money and time on some ridiculous cleaner
>>12870034Don't blow in your cartridges
>>12869778just blow in em, you donβt gotta keep cleaning foo
