Even with the magic of vibe coding and its wonders for game optimization, the Dreamcast couldn't keep up and demonstrated extremely levels of obsolescence.
Definitely not a 6th generation console

Yes
You could hire an entire game studio to do the work without AI, and the result would be the same. Ports like this are only happening NOW because AI does most of the heavy lifting (decompile, translate, optimize, debug, adapt...), so a couple of guys can handle the job

LOL
>>
cant someone tell the AI to fix the ps2 port? Surely the ps2 is powerful enough to match the gamecube port
>>
>>12870824
No, retard, none of what you just said is what optimization means. AI code is notoriously bloated.
>>

>a weaker console isn't as good at displaying a game than the more powerful console it was originally made for
>I needed AI to explain this to me

The future is doomed.

You know it's bad when your version of RE4 makes the SHITstation 2 one look good
>>
>>12870784
This version doesn't have the original developers working on it. Otherwise we'd have something closer to Shenmue than Silent Hill 1.
>>
>>12871256
It's on par with Shenmue 2 visuals. Dreamcast do anything more advance than this

hes right. its full of nonsense

>>12870784
Why do people always take good games and try to port them down to shit hardware? Why not take a game and port it to a successor system, and introduce enhancements and higher framerates etc?
>>
>>12871081
>AI code is notoriously bloated
if you rush it in two days like every retard does
>>
>>12870784
Yeah, pretty crazy people think there was any chance of Dreamcast competing with 6th gen consoles if piracy
hadn’t shot it dead in its tracks.

It's Assembly to C all over again

Gamecube still failed, I brought mine for $70 brand new. I didn't particularly like that generation.

>>12871453
Its fun to just see how it turns out. Like Super Mario World ported to NES, you know its kind of possible but you wonder how far you can take it. You can also just use it as a challenge to learn a system.
>>
>>12870784
>>12871463
AI codes will be full of janks and bloat no matter how many prompts you use. You'll end up having to check the codes every line and figure out how this shit works. It takes forever and you're better off writing the program from scratch if you want it to be as efficient as possible.
>>
love to see the jeet OP getting assblasted
>>

>You'll end up having to check the codes every line and figure out how this shit works
Without those lines you wouldn't even be able to know where to begin without having access to the original game development documentation.
As I said before, all these decompilations and conversions are only happening now, by just a few people or even a single person, thanks to AI. If you think this isn't wonderful, you're a stubborn retard.
Can you imagine a single person making a video like this in 2016, 10 years ago, without AI?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtnt84CDP-s
...obviously not. It would take months, extreme hard work and a lot of money to pull it off.
>>
>>12871475
For that to be an issue, people would still have to had bought the console. Your fake and gay meme doesn't work.
>>
>>12872454
And this is optimized how?

You don't know what optimized means. The whole argument of this thread is that you can't optimize RE4 on Dreamcast more than AI can, when in reality AI is always the least optimized code.
>>
>>12871475
If you wanted to pirate games, you'd still have to buy the console retard. Your forced meme is gay and so are you.
>>
>>12875283
Wow are you me?
>>
>>12871060
if it was they wouldn't have downgraded it
>>
>>12876631
What's forced and gay is the idea that piracy would cause people to buy the console. That's a retarded way of thinking. Pirates don't drive console sales, normies do. Normies don't pirate either, they wouldn't know how. Normies are usually the ones buying the games. While all the basement dwelling sexless weirdos are the ones pirating or buying pirated copies from friends who sell CD-R copies. True story.
