You should've learned by now that "Thing, but Mario" products are usually ultra overrated by Mario fans. Including Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi. If he's not platforming or karting, ignore.

I feel like it's one of those games that, if you played it at the time, you would overrate highly because of it's novelty and charm. But going back to it today, it just doesn't have that much to offer that you can't get better elsewhere.
