Maybe I talk about the NPCs.As a kid I never did give a shit about what they say I wanted to BATTLE BATTLE BATTLE and Did not read anything. However the the NPCs are literally deranged in these games. To the point of a meme.I actually started to read what they say in the remakes.So I walk into some home and talked to 1.Later I learn she is a waitress and this is a bar. And before saying anything she engaged me in combat after I tried to talk to her.This literally like got me if you really think about it. And you can not remove HMs in G1!!!!!! The only solution is to retrain a new charizard to level 100 and not fuck him over. This is a toxic mechanic of the game itself that really has no place to exist unless the goal was to extend playtime since now you will level a charizard without making a mistake on a new save OR they wanted the players to chose between having convenient movement in game or having a good pokemon for fighting humans.The simplest solution would be to make all of the HM basically item's like originally planned.... OR literally make HMs its own separate set of moves that the player can access in combat and outside of it while having the 4 TM move slots also.This sounds great only it is not in G1 or G2!3/4
