I don't know what it is, but I just can not stand this game. I like all the other classic Castlevanias, but this one just seems off. Feels like an indie game attempting to be Castlevania, right down to being more annoying than anything else in the name of "difficulty". If your idea of fun is not having fun, then you'll probably love it.

If you do like the other classicvanias the way you claim you do, then nothing that the first game does should be out of the ordinary.
