The most technically impressive game ever developed.
>>
>>12882713
But this isn't a picture of Mario 64?
>>
too bad it plays like fucking shit
>>
I replayed it this year for the first time in over a decade and I never noticed how short the game is. I wish I would have taken my time with it more but there just isn't any reason to
>>
I never got far in the game, just feels wrong to kill all these giants.
>>
>>12882768
Runs like shit too.
All Team Ico games are shit.
>>
uh the correct name is 'Wanda and the Colossus' or in the original Japanese 'Doki doki Colossus'

It feels drastically shorter on replay because you already know the trick to each colossus so you don't have that exploratory phase at the beginning of the fight where you're trying to figure out what to do

If you're a real autist about finding fruits and lizards it does add some extra length to it.

AI PC port when? This is the only PC port I would love to see. Also the PS4 remaster.
>>
>>12882918
Would love to get a pc port of the PS2 version like ICO did. Uninterested in the PS4 demake
>>
>>12882713
a game running under 20fps is not technically impressive.
>>
>>12882713
I guess in the conext of a PS2 release, but had they done what they originally set out to do, or at least half of the original estimated Collosi count, I'd be more inclined to agree.

yeah, framerate bothers me more these days, although the PS3 version retains the original look and runs way better.

I loved the game when I first played it, but I don't feel the drive to complete another playthrough. the subsequent rereleases/remakes bug me because of all the abandoned and cut content I wish the original game kept, you think it'd be a no-brainer to at least add one or two more collosi. I'm ok with not having an alternate happy ending, but if I were Ueda and had the chance to have one more go at it, I'd add a more depressing ending where the girl either never wakes up or gets sucked into the vortex to fuck with people.
>>
I wonder why tendies hate it, it runs at 20fps just like their favorite game
>>
>>12882713
Okay, that shit is epic!
>>
>>12882983
I played every version
PS2 version is the best. The framerate is perfect for what the game is about, especially on a CRT TV.

Dumb esl poster

Play the ps3 version, it's the same assets but it runs much better. Can't say I'm a big fan of the ps4 remake, I'd be less critical of it if the ps2/3 version was available on modern platforms, but it has essentially replaced the original in the retail space and I feel is different enough to the original that it doesn't count as the same game.

A game running at 480i, under 30 FPS, with only two actors on screen at a time is not impressive, at all.
>>
>>12885839
That's my problem. It is a giant empty bossrun game... This game is a polished alpha. If there were other things going on in the game then it would have been a legend. But not really. Just a big open world, you really can't do much in and a handful of bosses. Of course, this game caused an explosion of giant boss games afterwards. I believe all of them did it better.
>>
>>12885839
Just to put it in perspective. Could you imagine any 2d game Sonic or Mario for example. Each level/act has no this special going on no challenges, nothing. Then each world/zone has a boss. Yeah, that won't fly. That's not a masterpiece. That's half baked.

I tend to agree. I feel very lucky that I found a copy of this game in a store. It was the last copy and it was only 30€ and I lost my shit and I asked the lady at the counter to keep the game hidden on the counter whilst I ran 1km all the way back home to ask my parents for 30€ and then ran another 1km back

This must've been in 2006 or something

TL;DR I spent no joke probably hundreds of hours looking at game shelves in game stores and this was maybe the one time it actually paid off... This and FFX, which I don't even remember how I got anymore but similar case. This was during a time where there were no dedicated game stores in my country, so all the game shit was in electronics stores and those stores didn't buy a lot of weird games like this that weren't sports/shooters
