What /vr/ PC games are best controlled with a joystick?
>>
Doom.
>>
>>12882831
really? not a mouse?
>>
>>12882848
that's for tourneyfags and speedruntrannies
joystick is the most fun
>>
>>12882852
ok i'll give it a whirl
>>
>>12882816
I remember people used these for 3D platformers on PC back then
>>
Any flight game, like TIE Fighter and Descent. Some, you might want to two stick set up.
>>
>>12882816
Descent, Forsaken, Freespace or any other 6DOF shooter
>>
>>12882816
hardwar perhaps if you can get the damn thing to run
>>
Mechwarrior 4 can be played with two joysticks. One is used for movement and speed control, the other one is for targeting and torso positioning. At first it's hard but then it really starts to add to immersion.

Don't. He's trying to trick into using a gamepad next.

if you don't have a steering wheel, an analog joystick is the next best thing for racing games

Terminal Velocity.
Fury3.
Hellbender.
>>
Doom?!
>>
>>12883456
>confirms it wasnt the intended way
>>
>>12884070
It's more likely than you think
>>
>>12882868
It plays quite well when you you map movement to x and y axis and turning to the twist axis. Good thing you don't need to aim up and down in Doom.
>>
>>12882816
X-Wing Alliance doesn't start unless it detects a joystick.

I used to have one of these when I was a kid, I'm not sure what ever happened to it but it was like 25 years ago so whatever.

Games I remember playing with it:
>Conflict: Freespace
>Army Men Air Attack
>Microsoft Flight Simulator
>B Hunter (I seem to be the only person who's ever heard of this game but it was pretty cool)
>some WW2 dogfighting game that I can't remember the name of

I also used to play a load of games with it that weren't suited to it because I was a kid. I remember getting Snes9x and the joystick was basically my only controller aside from the keyboard so I'd play Smash TV multiplayer with my friend.

I had one of these, still have it somewhere I think. I hated how uneven and light the base was. Would jiggle all the time
>>
>>12886496
Yeah but any gamepad will work if it has an analog stick. Maybe even non-analog ones, I never tried those.
